Arrogance of The Authority (權力的傲慢)
A DEA officer stopped at a ranch in Texas and talked with an old rancher. He told the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs." 一位DEA（美國聯邦緝毒總署）的官員停在德州的一個牧場和一個牧年邁的牧場主人說話。他告訴這一個牧場主說：「我要檢查你的牧場，看看有沒有非法種植的毒品植物。」
The rancher said, "Okay, but don't go in that field over there..." and he pointed the location. The DEA officer verbally exploded saying, "Mister, I have the authority of Federal Government with me!" Reaching into his rear pants pocket, he removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher. "See this badge! This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish... on any land!!"  "No questions asked and answers given!! Have I made myself clear?!"  牧場主人說：「OK！不過您不要走近牧場的那邊.....」他順手指著那個地方。這位 DEA 的官員大聲的說：「先生！我有聯邦政府的授權！」然後從他的口袋中掏出他的徽章，驕傲的展現給這個老人看。「看到這個徽章沒有？這個徽章代表著，我可以到任何我想要到的地方去… 在任何的土地上。」「不得有任何疑問或拒絕！！我說的夠清楚了嗎？！」
The rancher nodded politely, apologized and went about his chores. 這主人禮貌的點點頭，道歉，然後走開幹自己的農活去了。
A short time later, the old rancher heard loud screams, looked up and saw the DEA officer running for his life, being chased by the rancher's big Santa Gertrudis bull....  With every step, the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it seemed likely that he'd sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified.  沒有多久，這個老牧人聽到悽慘的大叫，探頭出去，看到這位DEA的官員正被這個牧場的一頭 Santa Gertrudis 公牛追趕，沒命的奔逃… 這頭公牛愈追愈近，眼看牛角就要抵頂到這位官員。官員嚇壞了。
The ranger threw down his tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of his lungs.... "Your badge, show him your badge....!"   老牧人丟下他的工具，跑到柵欄邊，使出他吃奶的力氣大叫道…「你的徽章，秀出你的徽章 ......」
